The mechanical processing of engine block cylinder in GM PT Uzbekistan
The concept of coherent systems is commonly used in a variety of engineering fields to describe items composed by a number of components and such that the item status (works or fails to work) can be described as a function of the working or failure of its components. The thesis concerns with a mathematical description of this notion, some illustrative examples, and the main properties of coherent systems, with applications in computation of the distributions of the corresponding random lifetimes.
Comparisons among random values (such as lifetimes of components or financial returns) can be given in terms of their expected values. However, comparisons based only on expected values do not take into account aspects such as variability or other concepts of risk useful in decision theory, when one wants to maximize lifetime of systems, or minimize global risks. The thesis concerns with a survey of the main alternative manners to compare random values, and their applications in different contexts.
NON PARAMETRIC HYPOTHESIS TESTING
Well-known statistical tests for difference of means among populations have been defined and applied in engineering fields. However, these test are based on the assumption of normality of the distributions under exam. The thesis concerns with the study of alternative tests which are non-parametric, i.e., which can be applied without the normality assumption, such as, for example, the Wilcoxon or the U-Mann tests. Applications with real data sets will be considered.
NON LINEAR MEASURES OF DEPENDENCE
As it is well-know, the main pitfall of the Pearson’s linear correlation coefficient as a measure of dependence, is that it can measure only linear dependence. For this reason, other different measures of dependence have been defined and studied, like, for example, the Kendall’s tau or the Spearman’s rho. The thesis concerns in a study of these measures, and example of their application when the Pearson’s linear correlation coefficient is inapplicable.
MAHALANOBIS DISTANCE AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN MULTIVARIATE CONTROL CHARTS
Control charts are a common tool to check if a production process is under control. In some cases, the stochastic process under control is multivariate rather than univariate, thus non-standard measures of distance between observed values of the processes and expected ones should be considered; the Mahalanobis distance is one of them. The thesis concerns in a study of this measure and its applications in statistical quality control testing.
HAZARD RATE FUNCTION AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN SURVIVAL ANALYSIS
In reliability theory, and in survival analysis of mechanical or electronical items, aging and wear of items is commonly described in terms of hazard functions. The thesis concerns in the study of some properties of hazard functions and their applications in description of the distributions of residual lifetimes of components or multi-component systems.

Abstract: As the energy price goes up, more and more concern has been focused on the sustainable development of residential houses. One of the best solution will be the low energy housing-passive house. The concept of passive house has been popular in Germany and whole Europe in the last 10 years, however, there is no official residential passive house standard project in Uzbekistan now. In this thesis, the feasibility of developing passive house in Uzbekistan will be analyzed. Abstract: This work was conducted to investigate the performance of hollow concrete blocks containing discarded foundry sands and stone dust as a replacement of fine aggregate with a view to verify the suitability and potential use of stone dust, a waste product from aggregate crushing plants. Use of air entrained hollow blocks instead of solid ones also has advantages like thermal insulation, sound proofing, weight-reduction, resistance against frost action, cost-effectiveness.

Objective of the work: to design a controler for a Hydraulic Test Rig by using NI LabVIEW. The controller should identify the misallignment of the system's connecting rods with respect to the bar of the lumped mass and the frame of the test rig.
The test rig is available and the initial design of a simple controller model in NI LabVIEW is created that doesn't address the misalignment yet. More advanced controller designs to identify misalignment are anticipated to be developed within this study.

Transport sector is one of key sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy. It accounts for 9 % of GDP and 4%
total employment. Almost $7 billion were allocated for development transport infrastructure in 2011-
2015 in Uzbekistan (CER, 2015). The use of energy is strategic for the sustainability of a country. Its
analysis is the first step to address strategies toward sustainability. This thesis deals with an essential
parts of energy use in transportation.
Material Flow Analysis (MFA) is the quantification and systematic assessment of the flows and
stocks of materials within a system defined in space and time. MFA is used to study material,
substance, or product flows across different industrial sectors or within ecosystems.
“Sustainable Energy Use in Buildings by Material Flow Analysis (MFA) in Uzbekistan”
An assessment of sustainable energy use is crucial since Uzbekistan has pursued a high-intensity
energy development model that may bring geological, spatial limits and the occurrence of heavy
environmental impacts. Its analysis is the first step to address strategies toward sustainability. Total
Domestic Energy Consumption (DEC) analysis results depict that the residential and industry sectors
are the largest consumers, accounting for 42% and 22% of the total consumption in 2012
respectively. The residential sector utilizes gas primarily for cooking, water and space heating
(Raupova O, 2015). This thesis deals with an essential part of energy use that is heating and operation
in buildings. Material Flow Analysis (MFA) performs as a mechanism to understand the functioning of
the physical basis of societies, the interlinkage of processes and product chains, and the exchange of
materials and energy with the environment.
